A Week in Photos

I have been so busy packing to move, that all my crafty juices are just waiting to burst out once we have moved!  One nice thing about moving, is my new craft room is going to be bigger!!!

I have spent some time working on my moms shawl, I am at the lace section, and adding beads.  It is a bit time consuming with the beads, but I think it is going to be worth it in the end.

I started another baby sweater called Puerperium this one to work on when I am way to tired to play with beads and lace on my moms shawl...lol...I have been wanting to do this pattern for a while now ever since I saw it on Ravelry, and since I just got the yarn I wanted for it, I thought it was a good time to start it.

A cute photo of Kirby, lying on top of a stack of boxes, she wanted to look outside, but because I moved her perch to make room for boxes, she was very mad at me and told me so...lol...so I made her a bed up there so she can still watch out the window.  I really think this move is stressing her out pretty bad, with all the boxes in her "space" she is grumpy and isn't afraid to be vocal about it.

I added the buttons to the Hatchling sweater, figured I should get them attached before I lose one in the move...lol...the blue ones sure do pop!  Thanks Susie for helping me decide!!

I have also been working on a bit of jewelry stuff here and there, well that is until I packed my last jewelry supply box.  I have a White one like this ready to be blocked and  finished off with beads and a focal piece.  Which I am not sure what it will be.  If I can find a cameo, perhaps one of those would be fitting on a white one!

I know that its mid week, but hey who says you cant recap a week whenever you want!  Over the next week, I will continue to finish packing, and then the key exchange date is the 26th, and I have 3 days to move stuff and clean the old apartment before I have to give keys back on the 29th!  Should be a hectic few days!

With that said, I will talk to you again soon on here, after the move, and hopefully with some shots of my new and bigger craft room, and some new finished pieces!!

Your projects look great! Moving is such a stressful time for me. Are you moving within your city?

Thanks!! Yes thankfully we are just moving within a couple of blocks of where we are now. And I know the stress all to well we have 3 days to move all our stuff and clean the old apartment and most of those three days its just me here doing it. I'm stressed that I won't have enough time to clean enough to get our deposit back.

Hopefully they aren't too picky! Are you moving just for a bigger craft room? ;p lol That was a big selling point for me in our place, a big sunny spare room!

Hahaha nope but it is an added benefit to moving there...lol. We are moving for quite a few reasons like having our own private entrance, no one above us, need a change from where we are now, our own laundry, bigger kitchen, more storage... And the list goes on...

Is it a condo/townhouse then? That would be a nice change from a noisy apartment for sure! I see you are in Regina, I lived there in the South end for a few years before moving to Yellowknife. What a wonderful city, I really enjoyed my time there. I lived right near the U of R, the paths and parks are wonderful in that area. What area are you moving to?

Wow, Yellowknife, what made you move there? we live about 3 minutes from our restaurant on the south side of Regina. Nice and close, good for me to be on call for deliveries or if they get busy and need extra hands.

Hubby works for the RCMP, so we move wherever they tells us to! ;p

Good luck with your move, may it go smoothly and be stress free! :)
