My mom is visiting for a few weeks, so I thought it would be the perfect time to complete the last of the nieces and nephews quilts. Am working with Moda's Lollipop, and am really enjoying how it is turning out. I'm using HST's to create a heart design that ripples out from the heart. This quilt could be a baby quilt as well if you didn't add all the sashing as the main focal point is 36 x 36 inches. I only used 1 charm pack plus the cream and the sashing is the Moda fabric as well. I chain pieced all the blocks together and then cut them to make the HST's. It's so easy to do it that way instead of one at a time. Right now I am working on the backing incorporating more HST's and then a polka dot red fabric. I hope to sandwich the quilt Monday and then spend the week free motion quilting it so that next Monday I can bring it to knit night with the binding ready to be hand sewn. I hope you all have a good week and I will post more progress in a few days.
